Rewind, 2007.

2007 had been a stormy year. (Ok I think I express myself in chinese better, pardon me.)
崎岖不平,这一路走来非常艰苦,困难,但是,总算活了过来! 真的很为自己骄傲,却不值,怎么今年受了那么多苦. 往回看,原来都是一场安排给我的考验,要我学会长大,成熟,学会在苦难中找到希望,在自己灿烂光辉时记得感恩.

the toughest was the new environment, and the wrecking relationships it nearly brought.
all the frustrations anger and anguish inside me turns out to be dangerous. hurt myself, fell down, and i'm glad i stood up again. and i'm really glad that in the midst of this hurricane i found lots of precious and golden friends. through the sands of time and tests of faith, i'm fortunate, and glad that many made it through and i definitely cherish every single one.

going through OTC alone, the many quarrels, stressful curriculum and numerous criticism and cold stares really made me learn and grow up alot. sometimes, we are left alone to fend for ourselves. it's not a choice most of the time, but i realise that's part of growing up. i really learn to be more independent under the coercion of such circumstances and i'm glad i think differently now, in a more mature way. :)

and 2007 made me realise, nothing is forever. relations will change someday, the trophies you had collect dust only while nobody remembered who you are a year ago, and it all occurs, with or without our permission. this is the law of nature. and i'm sorry, if i had a choice, maybe i would choose poly. cos' after knowing so much wonderful people, and re-knowing so much wonderful people in temasek, i'm really scared the day that we say goodbye will come. so i rather choose to be selfish, and forget them before they forget me. haha, am i silly.

today is the last day of 2007, i'm sitting here, typing. and this is the first time i really say what i really want to say. thanks, for this year had been a good year, and fuck, i really hate this year. it's really heartwarming to know that there are many around who really care. i just want to say, i really appreciate all the laughter and joy, the encouragement and consolation you all gave. it kept me through this jinxed year.

i hate 2007, i really want it to go soon. yet i can't bear to leave 2007, i want to stay in this last day of 2007 for almost forever.

new skin for the new year, and a new song by angela, the ending of the song makes me feel like crying.
thanks for tolerating me, thanks for teaching me, thanks for drilling me, thanks for all the pain, thanks for all the laughter, and thanks for being 2007, the most memorable year of my young life ever. it's the best ever worst year i had.

but i know i'm more ready for 2008, i've been through so much already. the sky should be clear.

don't know how successful the event was, but i know it's a personal success to me.
the colours didn't drop (yes!) and i did the right procedures at the right time.
a big thankyou to arif sir who tried to prompt me a thousand times during rehearsals,
and ofcourse my colours escorts changyu and rita! they are super passionate people, to the corps, to themselves, and to their studies and future. that's heartwarming and made a fresher definition of 'passion' in my opinion. enjoyed working with all of them :)
guess i'll see you guys next year during zone comp, work hard!

Okay PP BBQ! After i came back from k-ing with the firstthreemonths gang, went home to change [i know i would get dirty] and went for the bbq. you know where was the bbq? IT WAS AT PUNGGOL PARK! HAHA,next to my house, super funny. strolled there with my didi and meimei.

yes bbq and bbq, a random bday cake popped out, with well wishes and evil intentions especially by jiaying and yingjie, THANKS ARH. IT'S CHOCOLATE CAKE, IT'S SO DIRTY, IT'S ALL OVER THE FACE. OMG. they just force my head into the cake, so disgusting can? justin want to eat one.

oh had gift exchange too. lol it was super funny, we were supposed to wrap it with newspaper. i think i'm the only dumb person cos' i only wrapped with a single layer while the rest used up all the papers in their homes, haha. i brought a JUMBO PEN to exchange, justin got it! super cute can?! and i got jiaying's mouse pad in return. -.- zhujiaying, in this xian1jin4 de century, NOBODY USES MOUSEPADS ANYMORE! mouse has no balls now, they have laser!

Happy (belated) birthday to me, I think after so much this year, I've grown up.

Learnt to be stronger, more independent, and try hard to think for others as well. So much happened this year, and i've endured it through. dreadful tjc, stressful curriculum, bad exams, lonely OTC, weird people, different environment, new problems, rocky relationships... ...

At the same time, came to a point where i realised many around me never give up on me. I am really glad and touched. Even simple acts to keep in touch also warmed my heart and motivated me. Despite all the unhappiness and everything, thank you. Friendship must be the gift of 2007. I know i can rely on you guys.

MOON, SEOK, AND THE REST OF THE CLASS! yes you people, thanks for being the motivation in school, all those homework and boring tutorials cum lectures. if not for you guys, i think i will die in school everyday. thanks for those random laughter and fun and jokes, i really appreciate it. bear thanks for loving pokemon, fairy thanks for those random notes, mazmo thanks for your concern, ... ... seok & moon, thanks for being there in sch, really. thanks for tolerating those random moodswings and bad days. and moon, thanks for making china trip so fun! :) i love you guys!

HUANG KS! as much as a lot of unpleasant incidents occured and we wasted a lot of time this year, a great thank you for being there when i really needed you, and after so much, im glad we're still here supporting and caring for each other. those many little incidents of 2007, i really am thankful for you are part of them. :) sorry for being wilful at times. we have one more year to go, jiayou! i love you too. :)

JEROME! haha, you certainly are an important character in my life of 2007. thanks for always being there whenever i called for you (or sms), you are my dearest brother who is always cherished! it's a pity you can't get into temasek, since that was where you always wanted since sec sch years. now im here, without you, but i know you're always here. haha. then was H3 maths. i thought you could join me in tj for the module, but now i got it, and you didn't. it seems like i have to carry on what we both wanted. haha. a big thankyou for everything, i love you. :)

yes 22 december. slept like a pig until 10am cos' seok said i must get out of the house by 11 to be on time. moon then smsed and said it's changed to 1230 so i can get out of the house at 1130 which means i can sleep until 1030! rah, i felt sleepy. haha, watch fei2tian2 as usual, it's super good show.

okay it's 1135. i should get out of the house now. WHEN I WENT OUT, THREE ZHABOR RAN OUT FROM THE STAIRCASE AND POPPED A PARTY POPPER IN MY DIRECTION! i was stunned, literally. open mouth rooted feet possessed eyes and everything! omg. they were laughing like mad after they popped the thing. ok i really got another surprise, thanks! but quite sad that dingjie wasn't there. moon said dj was going to chingay rehearsal and had to miss this.
(zhiyuan popped by somewhere in the middle of this story and gave me a card, thanks! :D zywb since 1997 LOL)

OBVIOUSLY SHE CHEATED! after an hour + K-ing, dj appeared and gave me a shock! LOL. omg. was happy seeing him and yl, thousand of years of not meeting each other can! hahaha. :)
yes then dj claimed he don't know how to get to the toilet so i needa bring him along, so he cheated me! cos when we were out there the girls are inside doing the cake and stuff. haha got another shock when i returned. thanks alot really, it was super duper funny and cool. :)

ok yes, yesterday (22december 2007) was my bday. i'm seventeen (FINALLY yes i know) and i've grown up. :) out of all who wished, more than half said that "you're FINALLY 17!". the FINALLY just keep coming like nothing, haha. while i'm at the head of being 17 many are at the tail, right serena seok moon koksiong karen? HAHAHA. :P

21dec, went out with jerome and arvina :D
haha, was cool fun and everything can?! and it's the day where i received my first ever successful bday surprise in my 17 years.

this is what happened. went dhoby ghaut cos' arvina said she wanna walk around. yea so we went, and jerome suddenly said he got something urgent to attend to so he went off for a while. i thought nothing about it cos' i thought he really got something (which is not urgent to me LOL) on. arvina, being herself showed me to those dresses and whatever she likes and blah. wasn't really surprised or feeling awkward that she's doing this. she've been doing it since i knew her.

SAW GABRIEL! haha. what a coincidence. he wear like an uncle la! rah. ok carry on, so after that we came to the entrance of world of sports. arvina was laughing like crazy and suddenly said she wanna go madewithlove. made a detour and jerome came back.

then went to orchard for swensens and we talked and talked and talked. walked abit and got onto the mrt.
haha my god! know what "urgent matters" jerome went to attend to? he went to buy that nike tee which i onced said it's nice! (refer to few entries before where we went gelare at PS) OMG! i'm super shocked can, i never expected his "matter" was this, no wonder arvina laughed when we were at the entrance of world of sports, jerome's inside what! hahaha. and it was a passing remark, i never knew that they actually remembered! omg.

door alarm rang, i thought dad was back. took a long time to bathe, cos i was doing some business LOL. mum keep persuading me to put back my towel after i finished but i took some time to 'mo'. so when i opened the door of my room, I SAW THREE FAMILIAR FACES IN THE DARK WITH A LIGHTED BIRTHDAY CAKE FROM BREADTALK! (it wasn't tiramisu though, haha.) OMG! karen xuyuan and richard! it's 1am in the morning! i was wearing ugily! i was so unprepared! haha. :) pleasant surprise. thanks a lot guys, appreciate it alot, love you guys too ;D

passed by fernvale yesterday on the way to jelyn's house.












guess what i thought of? compteam trainings, and sj obviously. from the start of the usage of fernvale campus til the movement to hougang site again, we were there to see everything. the corridors from the canteen leading to the classroom block, where we will pass by the sickbay, where we have our triage debrief, where we always do circuit pumpings, where we always hang out for comp trainings, where we practise footdrill on our own for ITC.... blah.
i'm glad i'm going to see my dearest AC and NC this saturday! it's been so long.

it feels good.

i'm sure we can do it. have some faith, and confidence. morale should be there, high up always. :)
